Happy Tuesday

Hi Everyone,

Hope everyone is having a great summer. Can you believe it's the middle of August already? The days are sure flying by, and I can't believe that I haven't blogged since July (oopps). I have been so busy designing cards for my upcoming classes, enjoying my two gorgeous grand-daughters, and the outdoors.

Even though I said that I would never renovate again, I decided to redo my computer room into a guest room/office. So I went ahead and had my wonderful husband pull up the carpet, and then we put wood floors. I bought a couch that opens into a double bed, a new computer table with two shelves and my hubby painted the room a very pale blue. He did a great job, and we are just about finished. I need some art work on the walls, and plan on painting a couple of them myself. If they turn out, I will post them on the blog.

I want to share this card with you . I started with Bazzil metallic purple card stock and punched a 2" circle out of it. I stamped the cluster of flowers (Imagenese) with Versafine onyx ink pad (my favourite black) and coloured with odorless mineral spirits and Prismacolour pencils. I used fine glitter around the flowers, and, for the background I used a new line of stamps made by Simon and Heidi which you can order at http://www.pointerscrapbooking.com/.

He is designing gorgeous stamps, especially his background stamps, which I love. They are great quality and so easy to stamp with. I used Versamagic white ink and the plaid background stamp.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I would love to hear from you.

Nicky

I love this card, Nicky, and Simon's background stamp is awesome! The colours are so soft and pretty and the little bit of sparkle makes it perfect. Great job!

Aren't reno's fun?? We spent our first week of holidays stripping my son's old bdrm top to bottom and re-doing it completely for Ashleigh's room. Took the whole week! LOL! We have another week off next week and we're doing NO reno's!

Gorgeous card, love the little circle cut out!

Beautiful card, Nicky...you never disappoint. I love the colouring and the layout - now I know what to do with those bouquet-type stamps - and Simon and Heidi's stamp works perfectly... We can't wait to see you!!!

I had so much fun in your Autumn Splendor class this past Saturday. I love the "work at your own pace" relaxed atmosphere and the great tips and techniques that you shared. Your enthusiasm and passion for card making really shows in your beautiful creations. Thanks for sharing them with me. For me being a novice card maker, your class has certainly opened my eyes to the endless creative possibilities... thanks Nicky!
